WHO Malaria Policy Advisory Group: meeting report, 14-16 October 2025

On 14–16 October 2025, the WHO Malaria Policy Advisory Group (MPAG) held its 28th meeting to review progress and provide technical guidance to the Department of Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases. Following departmental updates on recent restructuring and global financing constraints, the meeting focused on the following topics: epidemics and emergency responses, including progress on the Yaoundé Declaration; subnational tailoring (SNT) of malaria interventions; development and updates of the WHO malaria guidelines; antimalarial drug resistance and the rollout of multiple first-line therapies; operational and normative guidance on vector control; and the RBM Partnership–led “Big Push” initiative to 2030.
