2 November 2026
| Guideline
Overview
Across the WHO SE Asia Region, about 15% of the populations is covered by Population-Based Cancer Registries, with marked disparities across the countries. Developed collaboratively by the member institutions of the South-East Asia Cancer Grid (SEACanGrid) in coordination of Centre for Cancer Epidemiology, TMC ACTREC and support from WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia, this publication aims to bridge the gap between international standards and local realities. It offers a practical, resource-adapted guidance tailored to low- and middle-income settings, addressing key operational challenges such as infrastructure constrains, mixed active-passive case-finding workflows, legal and ethical frameworks, and data quality assurance.
